Triosyn®, the patented formula used in SafeMat products, has proven to be effective against a wide range of microorganisms including viruses, bacteria, bacterial spores, fungi and protozoa (for a detailed listing, please see the chart below). In addition, Triosyn® is safety-approved by the FDA, EPA and OSHA among others.
Based upon the high incidence of staph and e.coli infections, and the increase of potentially deadly MRSA in athletic environments, SafeMat is dedicated to protecting against these particular threats. Independent testing by a nationally recognized scientific laboratory substantiated Triosyn®’s effectiveness against both staph and e.coli. By placing a layer of bacteria on a mat coated by SafeMat, and incubating in an environment designed to cultivate the rapid growth of bacteria, results proved that SafeMat eliminated greater than 99.9% of staph (MRSA is a form of staph) and more than 99.9% of kleb (e.coli is a form of kleb).
